yes and i tried to install it again to make sure it wasn't a glitch and once again "takes too lo"
 
What is the error message you're receiving? Also be sure now you're using 1.6.
 
Start minecraft launcher and next to where your login button is press the options and press the force update button and then login as normal and it will update fully!
