Can't spawn in tropics bug

When I use the portal from capital to spawn in tropics I am getting a bug where the blocks that my character should be standing on never generate and my character is sort of bobbing up and down. Seems I'll have to walk from Capital to Tropics. Also, if I look down, it does not look like there are any blocks generated for a long time in that direction.
 
Just log out and log back in when that happens. Its a bug with the portal where the chunk doesn't load.
