Why the change from 500 to 700 CAD? I think it has something to do with PVE but I don't think PVE would cost 200 CAD.
 
its a more accurate reflection of our server bills, it has nothing to do with PVE. the previous $500 amount didn't include the new hardware that was installed about a month ago.
 
Unless the servers hardware specs drop to what they were a month ago the answer is most likely no.
Servers are very expensive to run...
 
the thing about the server is that we are renting the hardware and the rack space from Peer1. thats why the bill isnt going to go down. if we were able to use our own hardware (SSDs, RAM, HardDisks) the server bills would likely be a fair bit lower, but unfortunately server hosts like Peer1 dont work like that.
