For old times sake we have archived the forums to keep bot spam down and keep the original history of the server archived for future players to browse. We have moved to discord now for a closer community feel. If the server gains a ton more players again like the past the forums will reopen with the original sections archived and locked.

I think we should make it clear that cobble buildings = fail... because this will only be nice if nobody builds ugly crap.
 
i would like to help out but im bussy whit my own town ofc
coffee do you mind if i take some off your ideas like the trees whit glowstone?
btw do members also get to build there or only donors?
 
I believe that it will be donors only, but members who have donated as well. (Not you :P)

Yes, the way we want it is just because you have a higher rank on the server doesn't mean you automatically gain rights to build in the city. It would be donators only.

If somebody builds something out of cobble the plan is to not tell them to tare it down because that is not the point of this project and, they have already donated so I don't think coffee or I are the people to make that choice. However, what I would like to do in the situation is show them around some other buildings for example Fluffy's island to give them an inspiration on something to try to achieve because buildings in this town will be for the purpose of trying to get people to donate and giving them another reason to besides the recognition and the caps that they would already receive.

Edit: Also, cobble isn't so bad if you know how to use it. ex Indigo
 
I agree with this, seems like a great idea. If non-donors are able to help in constructing the infrastructure, I would be glad to help.

Anyone can help building the land. We're going to need a lot of help since this is going to be big. You don't get a plot though unless u donate.
 
There is no way to allow access outside of the hard border - the plugin won't allow it. We need the border in place to keep folks from wandering off and expanding the map unnecessarily (which was the reason the plugin was put into place originally). The border has also been implemented from a center position and is 6000 blocks in all directions, so there is no way to simply add to one side. Any attempt to circumvent this setup for ideas such as this will require a fairly hefty re-config of our regions and that could get messy.

I would recommend leveraging a large unused area inside one of the existing regions. We should be able to create a new region for said area and make it unique from whatever region is housing it (such that members of the housing region are not able to build by default).

Perhaps if Jangles/Static can't append an extra region, people who have large land claims can donate some or all of their land to the project? I had a pretty big land claim before I disappeared and would donate it but now it's outside the border. Certainly there's no obligation here even if you haven't built anything on your land. It would be a great help though, and your donation will be credited in the donor town and in the forums.

Gods and I were liking that area of hills. Also there is not a lot of conflicting land claims maybe 2 or 3 so its less of a hassle for us. The only real opposition I see there is in the top right and I've had a lengthy conversation with Commander about that. I think we've got a green light if we do a little more research on that area Coffee. Also, I agree with static that while it should be in a region maybe non donators wont be able to build there by default.

we are looking at the whole top right corner yes, there is about 4 claims that I can see.

According to Gods one guy has been banned, according to commander the others are inactive except the person in the top right.
 
Hmm I wish all the land claims were shown on the map. Do we have the names of those people? I wonder if any of them (particularly that one guy who is still active) would contribute their land to the project
 
Hey all your idea sounds great.
Being as I have donated as of a few days ago and am only waiting for confirmed donator status from admins my presence might not be as much of a hassle as it might seem.
I have begun creating a dome and will be making a roller coaster and stuff..would be a hassle to get rid of my work at this point.
THAT being said, I'm open to all suggestion in regards to my land, I'm willing to work with you, and this sounds like a fantastic idea.
I'll keep my eye on the forum. Hopefully you guys can make this project happen.

Awesome, Rad. That makes things work perfectly. We plan on having plots of 64x64 blocks, so if you don't mind, try to keep your project somewhere around there so that our other donors don't get jealous :). You'll get special recognition for donating your land as well, on the plaque of helpers.

Things are looking good!
