Expressions of Interest, Forbidden City 1:1 Scale.

Hi,

I am toying with the idea of doing the Forbidden City in Beijing.

It's a rather big project, 750 x 960 just for the city WALL alone, without including a decent surrounding of land, moat and the grand entrance way.

So, there are some challenges.

1/ Any Region Manager willing to allow a claim of about 950 x 1812, that is somewhat flat (well... I can hope for flat!!)

1a/ Possibly this is a project for Capitol?????

2/ Levelling of such land

3/ The resources associated are mind boggling, the main wall would be 272,000 blocks alone (probably sandstone), mountains of red wool etc etc.

4/ Getting the right design of the roofs, gables etc to get that true Chinese character.

Further, to be fair to you all, this has been done on another server so it will not be unique.

Unless I want to invest years of my life, I will need assistance. I would be looking for a core of builders that would be keen to assist over the months it would take to complete.

Further, one or a few of those builders would need to have the skills sets to be able to do good roofs and gables in the chinese style.

I make no pretensions to such skills, I can supply an excel spreadsheet of the layout so we have the right plan.

So, I throw this open to comments and suggestions.

(KKing if this is accepted I will disclaim the land in Rivers if you feel it's necessary. I have only put a border around it and got a bit of clay from the oceans.)

capitol is massive projects by big projects. but if it can fit in one of the big squares on the regions id say it could go there.

I'd love to help out with this because it sounds like it's going to be a good build.
I've been in the forbidden city twice, but have been to countless other buildings like temples, houses, etc. as well.
Also, maybe we could do the great wall too, while we're at it. We gotta leave the stone we collect when flattening the land somewhere, right?

You're probably not gonna find that kinda flat land anywhere.
I'd suggest looking at some of the all water regions as you can build a flat platform to work on

Yes, I had similar thoughts myself! But, i think I have sussed a River region plot.
