Follow My Build: Giant Minecraft Chessboard

I started a thread a few weeks back on my upcoming creation. It's basically just a large chessboard. Sounds a little boring, I know, but it's not. I'm putting a little Minecraft twist on it Here are my plans:

I'm planning to build a large (non-playable) Minecraft chessboard.
It will consist of an 8x8 field of 'playing' squares, each of which will be 20x20 blocks. The entire board will thus be 160x160 blocks.

One side of the board will be Agro Mobs, the other Peaceful Mobs.
Right (Peaceful) side of the board pieces will go as follows:

Pig - Sheep - Cow - King - Queen - Cow - Sheep - Pig
with Chickens being the pawns

The King and Queen for this side will be Jangles and Static (Their player skins)

Left (Agro) side of the board pieces will go as follows:

Creeper - Zombie - Skeleton - King - Queen - Skeleton - Zombie - Creeper
with small Slimes being the pawns

The King and Queen for this side will be Lofp and Fluffy (Their player skins)

What I have completed:
1. Leveling the 160x160 area in Uptown
2. Collected a small amount of wool (compared to what will be needed)
3. Started outlining a few of the squares

What needs to be completed:
1. Creating the outlines of the squares
2. Collecting TONS more wool plus donations
3. Filling in the Chessboard
4. Creating the giant mob pieces and player skins

I have calculated that for the board itself, I will need 12,800 white wool and 12,800 black wool.

My goal is to have this finished by the end of the month. The main roadblock for me right now is the amount of wool needed. The project has been kind of inactive for the past 2 weeks as I have been out of town, but I am back in town and will be working on it frequently again. I think that if I can rally some people to donate and help me construct the board as well as myself working on it frequently, then I can reach that time goal.

UPDATE:

Outlining the squares has been completed!
We have started major progress on filling in the board.

UPDATE 2:

The white squares have been finished!
The black ones are coming along nicely.

I have also run out of caps, due to the high price of ink sacs
Progress will not cease!

QUICK UPDATE!

I am back to the server seeing that we are on 1.0.0 . I will be returning to work on the chess board after a LONG break. Hopefully I can rally workers and we can get back to work on this fun build! Thanks to everyone who has helped already and to everyone who will help me in the future!
