Helloooo, I noticed that lots of people on the server seem to ask "could I have some caps" or "how do I get caps". So I decided to make this thread to show some tactics I use to earn caps.

Donating!

This is obviously the easiest way to earn caps, but not everyone has the means to donate, so this tactic only works for some but is really effective.

Farming

Setting up a few farms to get materials is one of the most popular ways to earn caps. There are many things that you can farm, some are better for earning caps then others. WARNING Automatic farms are not allowed on this server so don't attempt to make one!
--Cactus Farm--
This type of farm isn't to effective since not many users are on the hunt for cactus. But if you can't manage to sell all the cactus you can also use it to gain XP http://www.minecraftaddicts.com/showthread.php/11365-XP-Guidelines-to-gaining-XP
--Tree Farm--
This method is possibly the best, but the most time consuming. Once the shop comes up you can sell logs for quite a decent price, and if your harvesting 50 trees a day, the caps quickly add up.
Example tree farm:
--Animal and food Farms--
Animal and food farms can be really fun, but might be the worst for gaining caps. Not many people are looking for food in build world, and in war the only people who wouldn't have access to food would be the new players who don't have many caps anyway. But in war if you make an aggressive mob farm, many people are looking for gunpowder so they can make TNT and blow each other to bitz!
WARNING You are not allowed to breed more then 10 of each type of mob.
Example Mob farm (realllly simple version using mob spawner):

Mining

This is probably the best method if you well.. um... like to mine. The title really says it all, go mining and get tons of ores then sell them to people, ores are probably the most sold item on the server. After your done mining you may have tons of cobble, you can smelt the cobble to get more XP, and hence get better picks for better mining.
