HOW TO JOIN?!

Ok I'm super new to the multiplayer side of Minecraft. I have no clue how to join a server. Do I just type in the IP adress? But where is the ip adress to the minecraftaddicts server? I type in server.minecraftaddicts.com into the ip adress thingy on minecraft and I get bad login.... Then i try 209.15.226.94 and i get connection lost. What is the EXACT numbers/words you type in to get to the server?

Hey there elias,

You have got the right IP there (server.minecraftaddicts.com), I sometimes get that problem for no reason at all and it seems to fix itself when I restart minecraft. I would suggest that you keep trying. Also make sure that you have your game on the same version as the server, which is currently version 1.2_02, you can find details of how to downgrade here http://www.minecraftaddicts.com/showthread.php/2207-Minecraft-1.2_02-and-old-launcher-Downloads

Hey again,

Sorry for another post but I have more information and dont feel the need to pack my previous post.
I found information suggesting that this problem can be caused by animated water, lava, etc.
I would suggest backing up your current minecraft.jar and using the minecraft.jar from my previous post. Then try to login once more.

Hmmm.... I'm on a MAC and I'm not sure where I'm supposed to replace the bet minecraft.jar..... I don't have a minecraft.jar file......All i got is a minecraftlauncher.jar which is under the java file....I downloaded the client files but im not sure where to put them....

Navigate to your user name/ library/ Application Support/ minecraft/ bin. If you save the .jar here and click replace you should be good (I'm on a Mac as well!)!
