While my group was presenting our project on famous US Cities/towns/etc. to the freshman class, the only question we received was asked in a dead serious tone and made me want to jump off of the roof.

That question? I quote:

"Why didn't you mention Canada? Everyone knows about that one. I think it's in Alaska but I don't really remember."

Everyone died laughing and one of my 9th grade friends said my "DAFUQ?" reaction should be a gif.

I do see fit to mention that no, the asker wasn't special needs.
 
I thought things like this happen on a secondly basis in the USA?
