Ah yes, my favorite pet peeves.

There's nothing I can do about the occasional lag or downtime you may have on the server. There are also known lagging issues with bukkit so we can expect things to improve as the software becomes official. This isn't an excuse for me not to try, so I'm always upgrading and performance tweaking the server. Stay with me!

I'd just like to remind people once more that Minecraft is beta, and the plugins we run aren't even beta. Lag, crashes, and map loss are possible until everything is official and I will always do my best to keep the ship afloat. The server is backed up multiple times daily in case an event does happen.

Lastly, I want to thank everyone for your support in this process.

I can handle it, this is by far the best server I've ever been on. A bit of lag here or there is completely understandable, as first of all, like you said, the plugins are still pre-beta, and the game itself is still in beta. It is completely understandable.
 
the server is the best i ever was one but you might know that the warps arent working now :(
 
uncomplete map

hi,

i have recently found and purchased MC.

i do have a problem getting on multiplayer servers and this is probably not the best place to post this but bare with me please :)

whenever i connect to MC servers i often fall through forever, and cant chat...

on your server and a very few other, i actually spawn on land, but only part of the map is generated and the rest is empty and i still cant chat.

is this a know issue and is there any possible fix? i reinstalled i looked up google, found similar posts but no solution.

thank you very much ahead of time and sorry again for probably posting this in the wrong sections i only briefly browsed your forums.

Looking foward to be able to play on this server with fellow canadians!

We can certainly try to help you out, Phil. Do you happen to know your computer/internet specs? There are quite a few reasons why you could be experiencing problems, so it's best to start from the beginning.
 
i doubt my computer itself would be the issue here but here goes nothing...

im using my older pc for the moment but its still a AMD Athlon 3800+ , 64 bits, dual core. with 2 gigs of ram

setting in game are :

-Render dist : tiny
-3D anaglyph : OFF
-Graphics : fast

i can play the game in single player totaly fine but theres just so much fun i can get from making organized mines looking for ore lol


im pretty sure my java files are up to date but ill go double check that now

Your rig shouldn't be a problem at all, obviously. The first thing I would recommend is to make sure you're running the latest 64-bit JRE. I've read in other forums that this makes a huge difference. Here is the link for the newest release (I assume you're using Windows). Choose Windows x64 from the list:

Java SE Runtime Environment 6u23 For Windows x64

I assume that you also have a high-speed internet connection?
