Minecraft Quit Unexpectedly

This is the first day I've experienced this problem. It happens when I play singleplayer minecraft (1.3). I'll be playing for a few minutes and everything is fine, but then the game will freeze and this error will pop up

Then when I log back into my minecraft world my inventory would still be there, but my buildings would disappear.

This has happened to me 3 times tonight. As of right now I give up on the game until this issue gets resolved.

Does anyone have a hunch to what is causing this?
