I click on Minecraft, and all it does it bounce around ( just teasing me) and not really opening. I have redownload it,
yet it just won't open up. Can anyone here help me? It all started when i tried out the new snapshot, the one involving
the server files.
Thanks.

I don't think redownloading it will do anything. Assuming your on a mac, go to finder > library > application support > minecraft and clear out everything, then try opening up minecraft. Make sure you back up your saves, screenshots and whatever else you don't want to lose.

I have done that. The Login Screen Itself does not appear. But considering the Minecraft Icon on the Dock is moving, it seems like it
is Trying to do something....

Did you try restarting your computer? I'm sure you already thought of it but I have to ask.

Wipe harddrive, reinstall mac, reinstall everything else, reinstall minecraft and tell us if it worked.

[EDIT] Only do this as a last resort.

Fixed now. Searched the web, found some code to copy paste into the terminal, and its fixed now!

Any chance you could post what you did to fix it, just in case someone else is experiencing the problem.

if you have the mac the problem will be solved once you get rid of it....

no but seriously sometimes things like this happen. redownload java and delete mincraft completely and try again. i dont know what else to say.

Heres the copy paste of the message and code

The only problem with it is that for some users it loses the permission to run when downloaded. As a result, Minecraft will refuse to launch, the icon will just bounce in the Dock for some time (or infinite, or never). To fix it, move the Minecraft.app to the desktop. Open Terminal, copy/paste the following line to the Terminal window and hit enter:

chmod +x ~/Desktop/Minecraft.app/Contents/MacOS/JavaApplicationStub
