Yep, it happens occasionally with land generation. and can look a bit funky. Its really fun when it happens halfway through a lake ;-)

i have had 1.5 generate a void in my map. This was not just a glitch you can just restart, but the void stayed. I wish Notch and the rest of the team (MoJang) would focus on a BUG fix release of all the issues that have piled up since alpha.
