Hello Addicts,

I've been offline for a while now, but fret not. I took my computer in to finally get the video card replaced.
The good news: ALL hardware and fees are 100% covered by Future Shops warranty.
The bad news: the harddrive was faulty aswell, and they replaced it with a faulty card. Not once, but twice. I'm now waiting on the arrival of a third new card. Also, when they replaced the harddrive the first time, it was faulty too. If this fails aswell I'm going to explode.

So, when they finally get my computer working, and however long it takes me to install everything (the computer will be factory fresh basically), I will be back!

Must play again...

Poor Serythville...I wonder if you're gonna recognize it now since I went through it to look for materials!

Thanks guys. I'm still having the problem. 7th video card now. Have to get an 8th ordered. Its getting very tedious. I've been unable to play any video games for far far too long now. I'll be remaining offline until further notice I guess. I have no clue when this problem is going to stop. Sorry guys! I'm inactive, but not by choice. Hold on to my claims eh? I'm not leaving.

PS: This goes for my sister, generalpanda1 too. She's unable to play as well.

It's unusual for that many things to be faulty.. Maybe the motherboard's broken?

Id take my computer to memory express. They know their shit there

Got a new hard drive, motherboard, upgraded RAM, new processor, and yea... the video cards.

The only reason I haven't taken it anywhere other than future shop is because its 100% under warranty. I paid nothing for all that ^ (except time) and nothing for labour. If I go elsewhere, it's out of my pocket.

The guy working on mine is dumbfounded by the amount of failures. He knows his stuff for sure. What he figures though is because mine's an older model card, it's no longer manufactured. Therefor all the replacements are coming from the same 'leftover' stock in some warehouse somewhere that have potentially all been damaged. Unfortunately, if I want to remain not paying out of pocket, I have to wait for HP to tell F.S. that they've spent enough repairing it, and to give me a whole new unit altogether.

+ : Doesn't cost anything.
- : Getting really tired of the waiting game.
