No Animals!

Hi, I am looking for a single player mod to disable all animals in 1.8.
I so far I have had no luck with Google. Any ideas, or other places to look?

I work with kids and they play Minecraft, but we do not allow them to kill things. So I need some way to make the mobs invincible or get rid of them.

Your religion/belief disallow you to do this or is it that you do not want to influence the kids in the bad way?

he said he works with kids, and i think the kids are little enough that you don't want them to be under the impression that you can go around killing animals.
Or even the concept of killing
why not just build.

well, Jangles would never disable animals unless it was hurting the server in some way. Most likely a local server or SSP.

Hey nineteen, it may be a bit of a long shot but I've still got a vanilla copy of the 1.6.6 jar (apart from enhanced chat) backed up from a while ago if you want it? I'm not sure how many pcs you've got there (or if you need some features that are present in 1.8) so it may be a bit tedious/not practical at all to rollback but lemme know if you want it and I'll drop you a link

This link take you to a page of mods. one of these mods is called the phobia mod, gets rid of all livestock and monsters maybe too( not that you cant just go on peaceful. Hoope it works!

I dont think it gets rid of all monsters, it m9ght also be an old mod. I never saw silverfish, endermen, or cave spiders in the list of what it gets rid of. Just call the endermen, really bad bad men to you little kiddies yer taking care of. It might not be perfect.

Alternatively, you could always set up a minecraft classic server, no animals there from what i remember.

Androcks that one was for version 1.3 from what it says.

Or, you could use a Bukkit server. In the server.properties file, you can change spawn-animals to false

i could try to make a mod (no promises)... If i get it to work, ill contact you for further options or something...

If you knew how to decomile minecraft it would be easy just to set the spawn rate to zero in the spawner code. Then u would have a custom jar file to use.

But Jeff's idea is probably the best option. I imagine your kids want to play together?
