Straight up, I support Islam.
While I don't condone his aspirations and goals, I do feel somewhat bad for his death. That said, he probably got it way easy with a quick death than to rot away in a prison somewhere or face a possibly painful execution.

It's good that USA was the country to get him. Show's that they'll go to whatever ends necessary and keep their promise. But in the end, I don't think his death is anything to celebrate. He has children, and they'll be a way bigger threat than he ever was. Osama was raised in a respectable family, and lost his way after joining up with the Muslim Brotherhood of Egypt.

His children were raised under his ideals. I doubt they have the compassion or morals to think otherwise (but you never know).

I think USA has to worry about his children seeking revenge now. For the most part groups claiming to be al qaed are just "wanna-be" extremists.

All that, and pakistan had better get their shit together. They've got some tough questions to answer, and it's pretty much on their shoulders to make a move and clear out their land of extremists and corruption. They'd better get it done while Afghanistan is occupied because when the bulk of the forces leave --- it's probably going to go back to the way things were.

The End.

interesating perspective and thanks for the input. I usualy dont like having regelious talks on these forums but you where very objective in your point of view. thanks for sharing it.

I think killing him right away was the best thing to do. He has nothing to lose, and he would stop at nothing to break out of jail. So, if we captured him, we run the risk of him getting out. If he got out, he would just retaliate and there would be another terrorist attack.

I live in the US, and I think we need to get our own shit together before we involve ourselves in other people's business. We cant send our troops to Libya just because we think its right. And we need to stop sending billions of dollars to Isreal. The country is old enough to suppost itself now. If we think we can end the problems in the middle east, we cant. The problems between the forms of Islam date back all the way to when Muhammed died. (Sorry if I spelled that wrong) And when Nazi Germany lost WWII, it created even more problems in the middle east. No, I am not saying Nazi Germany should have won. But, when they lost, Isreal was created; and The Soviet Union gained more power, and eventualy invaded Afganistan. Which then, the US wanted to stop communism, so we sent money and weapons to the Taliban. The Taliban now uses those weapons against the USA's troops today. I think the US should close its doors, and focus on it's own problems. Osama bin Laden is dead, and it took us 10 years, lets not waste any more.

I agree with you Michael. The US should focus on it's own people for a while and let the rest of the world sort out it's own problems. The war machine is a huge expense to tax payers and the American people suffer to fun these endeavors. I think it's going to be a few decades before we (canada and usa) return to the good ol' days of the 90's. and that's only if the government makes some smart decisions.

World War 2 sure made a lot of problems, lets hope governments can work towards resolving those disputes. That's something that will take generations to come and go before we see good change. (50+ years)

lol - Osama wouldn't have had a chance to break out of jail. My thinking is that he'd be held at Gitmo where no laws really apply to his treatment. It's an interesting thought to ponder though.

Great input michael!
