Philip Fry Pixel Art in 1 Day Cycle

Hey guys,

So the other day I had a horrifically bad idea to try and do a pixel art in 1 day cycle (sunrise to sunset). How hard can it be to make Fry I thought. Well it took 5 failed attempts but eventually I pretty much pulled it off with only a few misplaced blocks that I had to sort

Anyway here's the video which alien recorded and edited (total build time was 13 minutes start to finish):

Btw I'm also interested in whether or not this is the same way the other pixel artists on the server make stuff? I've always found the "printer" method of doing it line by line works best for me but what about you guys?

And when I do pixel art (I've only done one lol) I go by similar colors. say if the next three blocks upward are yellow, I would put all of them down and go to the next. That way I know I'll have to change colors next time.

1. This is sooo awesome! 2. Im in the process of making my first pixel art, but what i did was: made the outline of the art out of dirt, and then filled the whole thing with dirt. Next, i started to replace the dirt with the correct colors, going by each color (I think this is what you were saying Godspeedz). 3. Alien, how do you film in Minecraft?

I use fraps to film in minecraft.
You'll need some other programs to then edit the footage etc. for that I use Sony Vegas.

Haha thanks guys! After like the 4th consecutive fail I was starting to feel a bit bad for alien (plus the night of shame that followed seemed to last forever) Also gotta say Im amazed at all the different styles of making pixel art there are. I guess it just goes to show everyone does things their own way
