Yo, it looks like it's time for another FMB.

This time around, I'll be doing a Fender Stratocaster. More specifically, I'll be doing Eric Clapton's "Blackie" model. Here's a picture of it "in action"

The gee-tar will span an entire rectangle plot, and it's near DCL's star destroyer, if you ever wanna see it when I'm not on.

Here's the plans I drew up, with all the measurements on it.

I'll be starting on this project next weekend, so expect some pictures up then. So far I've only marked out the borders with cobble.

I've made a little progress, the neck has been built, I just have to put the frets on it, and make it 2 thick (the entire thing will be 2 thick) And I have the very bottom outline of the guitar built, here's a picture. The neck goes on for 160 blocks, but I didn't include the entire thing b/c it's just a wooden slab at this point. Off from the highway you can see my little display area set up, I'll include that later on.

Finally got work done on this thing. I got the idea for the headstock from a Les Paul, since the Stratocaster's design looked terrible at the size I was gonna build it. Here's the picture of it!

Made a little progress. Finished the neck, but I'm not gonna put the rest of the web on it until the end, since I may have to change the length of the neck. The reason for this being is that there's less frets on the model than there should be, since I'm terrible at math :I Anyway, next up is going back and forth between the knobs on the headstock and the body. Here's a screenshot of the neck:

Haven't touched this thing in weeks, but I finally got back on it earlier today. I started on the curve of one side of the Stratocaster, which will loop up and back down to connect to the neck. The same will be done on the other side but on a larger scale. Here's a picture. (Sorry if the picture is an odd shape or whatever, took the screenshot on my iPod instead of my computer)

then tape some graph paper on top.

I got lucky in that the scale worked perfectly at 4 blocks per square

I've finished filling in the bottom of the body w/ black wool. Doing this cost me about 5k, sadly. But hey, now I can get back to the fun parts of the project. Here's a screenshot.

Also, MASSIVE thanks to Mk, he built the head, and I can not thank him enough for it, it looks amazing.

Next step: Putting in the second layer on the body, half of it being white, half black.

I finished Blackie back on the 2nd, though I'm just now getting around to updating the FMB. I spent 15k on wool, thanks to wool farming being so slow. Currently I've gotten 5k back, so I'm slowly getting back to the upper class (These taxes, man!) Anyway, here's some screenshots of the finished build.
