Regional Spleef Championship!

I want to start a Spleef tournament that will have representatives between each region spleef against each other to the bitter end to see who will win a Grand prize that will help everyone in that region.

What is spleef?
spleef is a game where theres a platform with either dirt or wool. and each player must dig holes to try and make the opponents fall while trying not tho fall themselves, last one up is the victor.

who will face the Spleef-offs?
im debating between my main idea which is, 2 man teams. the regional manager of the region and they pic 1 member who has land claim in that region to be there team mate.

or

1 chosen man that will be voted on the fourms to represent there region in the tournament .

Bonus rounds.
if we dont go with my main plan. id still like to see all the regional managers spleef it out. and as the grand finale
the winner and the winner of the regional manager match will face in a 2 on 2 death match with MrJangles and Raz just for fun :P

Where will it be held?

At first i was thinking one giant stadium over the center spawn. but now im more towards having 1 stadium in each region with its own look. like in the tundra region it will be icy looking, everglades will be watery and so on.

what do you all think of the idea?

who can build the spleef stadiums? they have to look beautiful, and defiantly not sloppy with cobblestone everywhere

how often should we hold the championship?

what can the prize be?​
 
good idea, if u want i could polish up my spleef arena in tundra to make it look nicer!
 
IF this is gonna happen , we would eithr need to find regional spleef arenas , or have one for all regions . And the awards gonna have to be pretty high. Like, game changing for

We should see how the first one goes, and if it's good, we might so it yearly. I it should last a week or two. The use of different blocks per round would be interesting, fir it wOuld add difficulty for players. I reccomend exploring for decent arenas ,
Not just for the players , but for the audience. I would like to see if I can make an official spleef arena.
I would understand if this wasn't nessesary.
 
A while back, maybe january or february, we had a sort of spleef "boom". Almost everyone had a spleef arena on thier land. So you should have no problem finding a decent spleef arena, or someone who can make a good one.
 
well right now its still in idea phase, i will need to talk to jangles or static on there opinion, cause im thinking of the mega arena up ontop of the center spawn. and set like standards for different region stadiums, the size and thickness of the arenas. what i know is kinda make it like a actual football stadium, above ground, lots of lights, and so on. and maybe we can do region teams 5 v 5 1 match at a time like football season.
 
I am about 95% sure Static and Jangles would say no to the arena on top of spawn. But I like the idea of the tournament thing between regions.

You wouldn't be able to do anything if it was put up there, spawn protection stops anything being broken.
 
spleef arenas can be made but the problem with them is the regions factor... if you have no visa you cant spleef.

however their is a solution. make one big spleef arena some wheres and we can set a pvp spleef area on that spot where no protection is...

the arena can be in a region no problem or build it in outlands its really up to you where it is.

spleef arenas cannot have a roof.
 
what we can do is the regional manager of each region for each spleef arena has to be in attendance to do the match, so he can give temporary visa's during spleef season at the games.
 
i go with flaffehs idea.
Prize: 10 Gold Blocks (or diamond, perhaps?)
Interval: Month

And...The large stadium should be easily changing. Elect one person a month to completely redesign it however they please.

So you mean... Only the area where spleef is played in will be accessible to all? I would've hoped for a roof but if that's the case I may have to draw up a plan for 'some' arenas.

... Yes... Plural.

EDIT: Yes. What is the issue with roves? What if they can't be accessed by conventional means?

I like the idea. I would be willing to join in for the epicness!

Just have the spleef in the outlands. Everyone can mine/build there.

guys guys. we can have a official spleef area in one of the regions. make up some plans for a arena or somethin

Not unless it is hidden from the world map and is not announced where it is being built. I say make it near spawn, or convert the old spawn building into a spleef arena.
 
We now have plans to introduce an official spleef arena. Details will follow soon.

Not to burst your bubble or anything, but we had back-burner'd plans to introduce this a couple of months ago. This thread served as an excellent reminder to follow up on those plans though, so thanks.
