Today Steve Jobs, Apple's former CEO died today due to his ongoing condition.

Rest in Peace Steve Jobs.

If this thread becomes a hate thread on mac, go to hell.

I just heard from someone on facebook. I never had a mac but its still sad to see one of the people who revolutionized computers die.

Sad, sad day.. He was a true visionary who changed the world. He will never be forgotten. RIP.

Well if anyone did turn this into a hate on mac thread... they have to realize Steve jobs also came up with the computer mouse!

nu uh, he stole it from xerox... xerox is probably kicking themselves for not using that idea.

all he ever really did was market things he didnt really make any hardware

he was still important, just think what would have happened if he were not in existance.

steve jobs is.. was a good guy... marketing he was awesome. now that he is gone what will become of apple.. we will only have to wait and see.

There is a multi-quote button right next to the 'reply with quote.' Just thought I'd point it out.

R.I.P. The man who started the company that sold me the laptop I'm typing this on (which is still quite good, compared to a PC we have that's just as old.

dont love the product, dont hate it either
love the guy and his innovation
he said he doesnt invent, he re-invents.
and his marketing skills are very considerable
a great man indeed.

Although I've never really been a huge Mac fan it's still incredibly saddening that someone so involved in the rise of personal computing (and let's not forget Pixar) is gone. RIP to a great innovator and marketing genius

YMMD, stop being steve jobs advocate here
assault was not hating, and if you read carefully enough, he was saying something good about his mac.

with this community, that is all it takes... And I am not being a "advocate" for steve jobs. This thread is not about the Mac OSX operating system, but how Steve has influenced a lot of people and innovators.

I am just saying whether you hated mac, ipods, iphone, etc. he still played a huge influence on what computers are today and was one, or is the best marketing genius of our age.
