I desperately need help getting this rollback thing to work - primarily replacing the jar file... I cannot find it for the life of me.

beta 1.3 rollback

Here's how:

BE SURE TO BACKUP YOUR FILES BEFORE PROCEEDING.

1: Download jar (rename to minecraft.jar): http://www.mediafire.com/?gccysm7kzos3m15

2: If you have 1.4(force updated).


3: Quit.

4: replace beta minecraft.jar in your appdata\.minecraft\bin folder. Copy the paths below if you can't find the folder.
- Windows 7/Shista: C:\%APPDATA%\.minecraft\bin
- Windows XP: C:\%APPDATA%\roaming\.minecraft\bin
- MAC (replace your name with your name): /Users/(yourname)/Library/Application Support/minecraft/bin


I'm using Windows XP and feel quite dumb saying I don't know how to copy the paths :( Can someone please help me?
 
This is only a theory because I have Windows 7, but try opening "Run" and typing %appdata% in the search bar, a window should open then you will see a folder called .minecraft, open that then go into Bin then you will see a .jar file named Minecraft, simply delete that or place it somewere else, but i suggest you rename it. Then place the 1.3 .jar file and rename it to "minecraft" then close everything and you should be good to go.

If something goes wrong, just find the .minecraft folder again and look into "saves" or something like that and your single player world will be in there.

Oh Studio another genius question: how do you type commands in-game? Im trying to do /warp, /list, /anything... and nothing is happening lol

You type the commands into chat. The default chat key is T.
