Someone moved the sun!!

G'day,

Since 1.0.0 the sun comes up in position 3, it used to be 2.

As a result, my whole build is affected, I had my Torii Gate aligned with the sunrise and my castle for a sunset.

Is there any view to resetting the sun please, the chickens are also very confused.

I believe this is client sided more than server sided for the actual location of the sun, the server only provides what time it is and the client uses that to make the position of the sun. Im afraid theres nothing we can do about it.
 
If it is client side, i suppose it is possible to find a mod that would fix this, but it would only work for yourself.
 
I do not think servers have the power to change that.Check the minecraft forums for some more info on this and see if some else has noticed the same
 
Notch said on Twitter that the sun actually rose in the North in Minecraft, but they decided to leave the bug in. Now, the sun actually rises in the East
 
This is a notch game issue. Nor the actuall server problem. I don't see why he changed it but it bugs the hell out of me. Blame notch and his dumb change
 
Next time I see him, I will point out that on Earth, the sun rises in the East. His foolishness has destroyed the Karma of my whole site.
