Hi guys. I had heard of something on another server where an area was marked out near spawn called the purge. IT was an area that would get deleted and regenerated monthly so that new materials and such could be mined without having to travel to the edge of the map like lapis lazuli. Maybe we could have a 6x6 chunk area like this? It could be fenced off and everything so people know not to do any work there.
 
I like this idea, but the area itself would have to be much much larger than 6x6. I can completely mine out a 6x6 area in like 5 minutes....maybe something along the lines of purging all the land that isn't currently being used would be sufficient.
 
That's probably exactly what we'll be doing when land becomes scarce. :)

The "public mining" area will be very large and likely on the other side of the borders.
 
Don't we already have a public mine? You could build it near there! (P.S., Jangles, the warp isn't working now!)
 
Lol, I went to this sub-forum to suggest this, then I found this topic.

IMO, we realy need this. Because, it would also spawn new trees, and new flowers, and ofc. Lapis lazuli, This would make these materials a lot cheaper, so we can build cooler buildings with it :D
 
what about regenerating the land that's not currently in claims or being used? that would give a chance for all the land that was generated before that has no lapis, to become lapis filled/enabled?
 
yea theirs a problem with that.. their is no current way to do that without changing the entire server to a new map every few hours.
