I've been looking for a nice simple texture pack or any awesome looking texture packs. I was just wondering what texture pack is others on the server using?

Right now im using Tronic

But im looking for something new

Ok, just got that downloaded...seems like it's not really like any texture pack I've seen before. It wants me to run a .exe file mcpatcher-1.1.12_02.exe - what's that about? Did you have to do that? I ain't touchin' that with a 40' pole. Probably wouldn't open anyway, even if I did try to run it, me not using windows and all.

Sounds like you're on Linux, which might mean you're out of luck with this one. The mcpatcher executable basically modifies one of the game's .jar files to allow for high-def (up to 256x256) textures (vs the current 16x16). There is a .dmg patcher for OS X, but I didn't see anything for Linux. It's a common patcher used for other HD packs as well. However, I wouldn't recommend anyone on this server try installing this pack right now, since it requires the client to re-fetch the latest files from minecraft.net. That would bump you up to 1.3, and you could no longer play on Minecraft Addicts. In fact, since the patcher also hacks in better lighting effects, I would also be concerned that it might conflict with 1.3's new lighting options.

For what it's worth, I haven't figured out how to get the grass effects working yet, so you're probably not missing out on as much as you think.

I'm having trouble getting Photo Realism to work on a Mac.

If anyone knows how to do it on a Mac, awesome! Can you post it here? If you know how to do it on windows, I'd also like to see, I might be able to derive the Mac way from that...

Thanks!

Ill give Photo Realism a try. If i get it to work ill let you know seattlewil
