The Fellowship through The Return's special effectgs were good enough for me. Any improvement on those will be mindblowing.

If I remember correctly, there is a scene in the book where bilbo and his dwarven friends fight a dragon. Can't wait to see that scene. It will be intense!

Its very strange how a finished product takes so long to get to the theaters. I realize they need to market it and such but wow...
