The taxing subject about slimes...

I'm sure these questions get floated around in-game quite often:

Can you locate a slime chunk using another source? (link)
Can you manually kill (Auto farming is ban-able) slimes once spawned within such chunk?(Slightly redundant)

I'm sure the ramifications of this might change how the game is played. but at least it will be put to bed along with my constant QQing over the topic and slimeballs not appearing in the shop.
 
I would say as long as you don't use a mod to find the chunks it is okay.
And yes, you have to manually kill the slimes.


Also, slimeballs should be in the potion shop in one of the survival spawns, since there are other things like ghast tears and such there as well.

In reference to using a mod I do direct you to the link posted. Although they do point out a mod there is a website that can locate it for you. But even in saying that you also said...

Oh I saw it stevz, was just clarifying that if you are on the server you should pretty much be on a vanilla client. With a few miner exceptions.
 
Both the survival and global shop are being revised.
You should expect to see new items and prices in the shops (survival shop not so much) some time soon.
