Hey guys,

I have not been around for a long time, but so far I am enjoying the community and enjoying my self quite a bit. The last two days I have noticed the amount of asinine and childish comments in game to be incredibly annoying and frequent. Not only is it bothersome it seems to take away from the community feeling and helping environment this server hopes to portray. My suggestion is maybe a more rigorous application process for new users. Not sure if this would help or not but it may cause people to not randomly join for the main purpose of grieving ( in any way).

My second idea is if people are using vent they should be using some type of headset. I love hearing peoples voices and being able to talk, but hearing my voice feedback and scream into my hears is something I am not a huge fan of.

Just my 2 Cents

Have a good weekend

as for the first one yah its been in the talks for like months and there are a few things coming around but there not ready cause the mods arent ready yet.

as for the second point yes I pref headsets in vent but over all I pref just having any one in vent so if I had to pick no one or some people that arent using headsets I rather the no headset wearing people :P

people without headsets just need to mave the mic away from their speakers and have their volume a little lower

I think some common courtesy on Ventrilo would help too. Few things that i believe would improve the overall ventrilo experience:

1. Use push to talk if not wearing headset
2. Wait your turn to speak, lots of interrupting going on here
3. Talking too much - if you're having a conversation with someone thats one thing, but if you are flappin your gums like crazy the whole time, adding your 2 cents into every word than anyone else says, practically "fighting" for air time, maybe take a step back from the mic. For the most part everyones been good with this, but when you get that one person who does it, drives me nuts.

Thanks for the input.

A better solution would be to make it so players can mute the annoying and childish part out of Minecraft. We won't be adding any questions in the application process. It's best to give everyone a chance to get familiar with our ways before showing them the door out. I'd like to get a functional mute option where players can mute other players chat. This would help considerably.

And yes, headset for vent is good.
