Sometimes I'm underground and an entire area will be unmineable where if I break a block, it just reappears. Usually I just branch off in another direction, but this time it's 40 mossy cobble and gold blocks :|
Does anyone have an idea what is causing this?

Some areas are protected from bedrock to ceiling. Look on the map to see if there is anything of importants above you. If there is and it's protected, there may be a case where we can remove protection in certain areas.

This problem sounds like bad connectivity to the server. How far away are you and how's your connection?

I dug upwards and it turns out the area was under Indigo's two large walls west of the old spawn.
That must be the area I've bumped into a couple times.
There's also some diamond down there if you want it Indigo. There's a small dirt pillar in the ocean just outside your walls with a waterslide down. The diamond is where the water ends past the lava.

I'm on the opposite side of Indogo's walls. I can confirm that all of his area is protected, it's not a server issue. There is probably a singe white block marking the corner of the area that he's got locked down. There's one near the foot of my waterslide in Botulism Bay.

we use cuboid to lock down areas so no one except ones with permission can mine or build in that designated area. indigo has protected his land from top to bottom and around.

i thought you were originally talking about a un-mine-able section that just had a random block reappearing. if that happens mine it from the top or bottom. but in this case it is protected... you will fine a big section you cannot mine in.
