Hey guys,
After the very enjoyable flag contest (with a very high standard of entries) I thought it seemed a shame to waste all those carefully marked out flag plots. So... the valley region miniature house contest was born!
Basically the aim of the contest is to see who on the server can build the best house in an 11x15 area which I'm hoping will present an interesting challenge to this server's very creative builders. So if you're interested in entering gimme a shout in game and I'll arrange a plot and a temp visa for you
The prize will be in the region of 500 caps and the winner will be decided by a server vote. ANYONE on the server can enter, not just citizens of valley (who knows maybe you'll like the region so much you'll decide to stay)
As with all contests I'm afraid there are some rules:
Rule 1: No cobblestone is allowed apart from the border, ALL other materials are permitted however! (this should present an interesting challenge)
Rule 2: Your house must have at least 1 door and 1 window (otherwise it's not really a house)
Rule 3: You are not allowed to go outside of the border at any point (however you can build on top of the border or remove it completely)
Rule 4: You can only dig down 1 layer (I'm afraid that means no basements or underground houses)
Rule 5: You can't build any higher than 20 blocks which is a /depth of 23 blocks above sea level (this should be high enough to allow for apartments without allowing noob towers)
Rule 6: You can use as much or as little of the plot as you want
Rule 7: Each house will have an interior and exterior screenshot taken for the votes thread (a cool interior will deffo earn you kudos)
