As a way to let users temporarily take things from the factions war world to build world.

We are merging both inventories, this will only last as long as war in going on so 1 week and a half.

To do this one of the inventories has to be wiped. Your last logged out inventory will be the one that overrides once the command is activated.

We will be activating this change on Monday 17 sept.

Once the 2 weeks pass this option will be reset to separate inventories.

If you want to be ready for this just make sure that on Sunday you leave the server with both inventories empty and you should be fine.

After this change this will permit every one to move items from Factions War world to the build world, and also if you want to make your factions spawn contest build even better you can bring in items (with the risk of loosing them)

If you read this after the case and you have lost things in the build world please send a pm or make a post in reports and we will help you out.
 
Please note that we will announce when we do this change on Monday. and let every one thats left on the server know ahead of time.


as well if you are a builder and you have never touched factions this should not apply to you.
 
So if I cleared my Build inventory and stay in build, then go to War, I should be safe?
 
We are currently in the works for this it might happen tonight later on if it dosent work out it will be tomorrow.

please keep a eye on this post or any other on the forums for new updates.
 
By "involved in factions," do you mean like joined a faction, or just entered the Factions world at some point?

what ever world was your last logout will be the master inventory the master will override the others
but to be 100% sure make sure you just dont have any thing in your inventory so that you can be safe % once you leave the server.

so if you have never entered the factions world then you will not be affected but if you have then that inventory will be wiped but if you log off in factions world then the build inventory will be wiped

Reminder TOMORROW factions war will be closed off. so that it will be ready for the reset. we will announce it on the server.

we will be looking at the pvp factions spawns if you want you can pm me personally or post in the forums the location. Once the world is closed.

So just found out about the world wipe today (last time I was on, it might have been nice if there were warnings in the chat feed.... just saying..) and now of course I've lost everything. Can it be reinstated somehow? If not, I think I will leave this server.... (not because I'm mad, but because I don't have the energy to start from scratch again).
 
As it seems you are aware of how we run things. This server counts that users are viewing the forums.

As well, I did make regular chat announcements about things going on.

but we might not have been on at the same time.

As for factions, from this point forward, it will be reset many times. So if this is not your style of play then I'm sorry to hear that. We are also going to be changing things around and permitting the community to have a bigger say with what happens in factions.

if you want to be a part of that that would be great.

As for the loss you may make a report stating what you have lost.

but only after a evaluation and on a per case ruling will we be taking action.

In general I was not sure if it was the time building something or the resources in factions that upset you. but keep it in your report.

Okay, so I was actually mad when I made that last post.... despite saying I wasn't.... but I've calmed down now.

I was just super proud of my base all hidden and awesome and full of cool things (enchanted bow, had some other things that were rare). And I was sad when it was gone...

If factions are going to be reset periodically then I think it's fair that everyone lose everything and start from scratch. I think it getting reset every 4 months would be good. Or maybe 6 months?

But if for this reset people get to keep stuff, I'm not really sure what I lost.... but every bit counts when one is a faction of one.... I had some diamonds, slimes, potions, lots of food, enchanted bow, brewing stand. I had all the usual stuff too (wood, sand, stone, mushrooms, wheat, etc, etc). Do people keep only as much as they can hold or what was in all their chests? Again, I think in the future it's fair that everyone lose everything... but if people get to keep stuff this time, I'd like to keep some stuff too...
 
The faction world had a synced inventory with build for 2 WEEKS, offering those that had stuff in WAR to get it out.
Like lofp said, there was lots of warning, I guess you just weren't online at the same times. The forums always have information though. Keep checking these in the future :)

As for the new world, EVERYBODY is starting 100% fresh. No land, no items.

Jus' sayin'.

Ah. That's what I didn't understand. Faction was synced with build.... that's fine... I mean, it's too bad I lost stuff but I thought I was going to be walking into factions with nothing while everyone else swam around in their diamonds! Thanks for clearing that up.

And yeah, I was off for a while. As of September I'm working full-time and going to school nearly full-time so unfortunately haven't had much time for the mine crafting!!!

May I ask one more stupid question? Does this mean from now on build and faction inventories will be interchangeable or was it a one-time deal?
 
That was a one shot thing to allow the clear outof stuff from factions . It will not be in place once it comes back.
