Hullo folks,

I've just completed the painstaking work of surveying the three main subway sections of our world: the "Bird" section, the "Bige" section, and the "NW" section.

I've done it down to the coordinate level to +/- 25 block accuracy.

I'ts fascinating how close the Bird and Bige lines come to each other at points, even (apparently) crossing over each other in two places.

It doesn't look like much when zoomed out due to the scale, but once zoomed in, it has quite a bit of detail. This isn't the pretty version. This is the functional version.

THIS is the pretty version.

I've attached the Excel file, including the coordinates of all of the stations and interchanges I've surveyed.

Orange indicates stations, green is interchanges, gray is track and yellow are warps. The one red dot in the middle is the spawn tower.

Please let me know your thoughts!

Fantastic work dude must have taken ages to complete. I don't suppose there's any way to add that to Zan's minimap or some other way for people to access it in game?

omg your amazing! woot. great work there might be others as well but this is just briliant

That's great. I'll do up a waypoints file of the stations for Zan's Map from the spreadsheet and post it.

It wasn't too bad. The straight sections that had working boosters didn't take that long, but where there are twisty turns and lots of interchanges, I had to map manually. Did it over two nights. Saw lots of the world...underground.

Thanks! If you give me coords or act as a TPA anchor for other major sections I'm happy to map those too. I know Bird would like to link up the major sections of track, and it's much easier when you know where they are and how far away it is from existing track.

Sounds great! Adding the coords to the minimap would also make it a lot easier to verify the accuracy of the mapping results. I'd recommend only waypointing the stations. The interchanges are on there more for an eventually "pretty" visual representation of the subway map.

Sorry for double post, but updated thread above with new "pretty" map.

Are we allowed to ask to get a subway branch that leads to our claim?

I would recommend going to this thread and requesting a station. It is Bird's call to plan and decide on future subway extensions.

I would also suggest that in your request you provide the x- and z-coordinates of your proposed subway station, found in-game via the F3 debug screen. Make sure to get the positive and negative signs correct. Ignore the y-axis.

Im building a town in Parkway, is it posible that one its finished, you could make a railway there? Or do I simply get permission, to build it myself connecting to the station?

If you append this to the file named "server.minecraftaddicts.com.points" in your .minecraft directory you can turn on waypoints for the stations:

That starts with the obvious name and coordinates, the next is the flag for on or off, then red:green:blue values in floating point.

There's a new station at the end of the Tundra-Cove line at the NW end.
Station is called Inland Town, after the name of the town above.
If you need coordinates, just tell me.
