Future Public Subway!

Hey guys as some of you know, I`m making a subway line for public use. I have a picture showing my future route as well as the current laid track.

I will be coming near claimed land, and if you do or don`t want me coming through just let me know!

I`m planning to link up this subway line with the system thats currently already in place, and there will be many stations along the route as land gets claimed!

now as for the image, black is track thats already been placed by me (just let me know if you have any problems with this) and the red is future track, which is open to having changes made to it, depending on whose land it will be going through, and whether they want a station or not. The orange is track that has been made by DrgdHmstr.

For anyone that wants subway track, leave it to me to plan and build the track itself. I'm currently doing it to a specific set of guidelines common for the whole track (except for DrgdHmstr's section). Stations are not held to any specific design, they can be done however you want, I would ask though, that you hold off on building the station until a section of track is under construction to your claim.

If you could extend the system to my town, which isn't that far from the end of the red line, that would be awesome. I could donate a stack or two of track and help you dig if you want.

the black circle is my land. the map hasn't updated yet, but my path extends all the way across the island, so the station can pretty much be anywhere within that circle. The red is the same as the red in your image.

found a couple things that may help with your booster reseting problem, one i know you dont like but i thought it was interesting, and i learned a few things that i can tell you on vent, anyways here are the videos

definately. my overall goal is to have minecart stations all over the place, so everyone can make use of the subway. its still in the early stages, as of yet, the only contiguous track is from my station to tigger's station. it wouldn't be super hard to put in track to your station.

if you start building a station in your town, i will attempt to have it hooked up by the end of the week.

as for the picture thats posted in this thread, it needs to be updated to show the current status of the track.

I'll add a word of warning. We have a subway network in parts of our world and we have seen pretty inconsistent persistence of booster carts. There may be heartache involved with this endeavor as it could look like someone is griefing the boosters for carts.

The hidden booster idea from the video is not a popular idea in terms of server resources. Having carts all glitched together in an infinite loop is just burning CPU cycles (much the same way the automated farms are an unnecessary load), especially if the booster is seldom used.

Hey bird, i know we talked in game a bit about this, so i used your picture to show a possible connection to myself, and tautwolfs areas.


Legend
Orange: Proposed subway tunnel
Red circle: My city
Maroon: Existing Interstate line.
Yellow Circle: Tautwolfs land.


So basically my plan with regards to the tunnel would be to follow the orange line down to my city, then follow the interstate to tautwolfs land.

Note: The orange line can be moved as needed to where it is most convenient.

Im not sure if this is what you had in mind, and if not, its not a huge deal.

Hopefully we can make something happen.

So, is the general consensus among admins that the best stations to use are just "push your cart and jump in" stations?

Hello all. I noticed the subway is headed very close to me, and id love to be a part of it. I'm learning more now
about the track system and how it works. My tower will go from sky to bed rock and id love to have a lvl for
for the subway. I will be happy to do the building to connect and supply my own mats. Here is a picture of my land plot and a basic idea.

hey uh, Akag, the railway already goes through your land, as that a part of it was built before you claimed that land. i just havnt updated the map recently. i have yet to get around to it.

Bird, what's involved on my part in getting a station on my land? Is there a certain design for the station i should follow? like, is it an automated station with redstone and everything, or just a push cart and jump in station?

the station is all your preference, just make whatever you like best. its the tunnel that has to conform to specifications. but build the station first and we will go from there.

Ok, cool. What level are the tunnels? Are they down at the bedrock?
