Minecraft 1.2_02 and old launcher Downloads

i got it back to beta 1.2 but when i try to log in it says end of stream. is that just bad connection or something different?

How do I get my 1.3 minecraft.jar back?

Rechecking the remember password and logging (and maybe reloading once after that) should get it started up downloading. My advice would be to have two folders you can switch between though so you dont have to deal with all the redownloading, etc.

if you want 1.3 again delete your bin folder

I replaced it and it deleted my save file, thanks, do you know how long I worked on that. But oh no, I really wanted those hours of my life wasted, I wanted those 19 mb free on my computer, I really needed them you know? I HATE YOU ALL.

are you sure it is deleted? in 1.3, you can rename the worlds to things other than World1...World5. The old Minecraft version will not recognize these worlds. Do you still have a .minecraft/saves/ folder? If you did it correctly, it will not actually delete any files in the process (except for minecraft.jar of course). did you update to 1.3 then replace only the minecraft.jar file from the zip file? that usally does work. do not copy anything else.
