Mk and I have been talking about a new PvE world to be added, but with many twists. This world is to be a mix between vanilla Minecraft, Build world, aswell as PvE world. Here is the list of things which make this world special.

PLOT WISE:
-Well...er...there aren't really plots...A staff member must make a plot for you which you may choose where it shall be. these plots will be in the size of 60x60 blocks or less.
-1 PLOT PER PERSON, However you may add 60x60(or smaller) extensions to your plot if the land is free.
-"Towns", if you can get 15 ACTIVE USERS Within multiple plots connected to each other you may declare it a "town" and get a /warp to the town that only works in this world.
-There will be a spawn town where there will be villagers(That cant be killed for obvious reasons) that sell resources that cant be obtained in this world such as,
*Quartz
*Netherbrick/rack
*Endstone
*Beacons (For a HIGH Price)

ECONOMY (SHOP ETC.)
-Shop is 100.01% Disabled in this world.
-Only way to get materials is to trade with other players or in spawn town where (hopefully) villagers will be to trade. (Special trades which alien/MrJ makes so its fair).
-This will be a player ran economy with demand and rarity.
-Mobs don't spawn within town borders.

PvP/MOBS

-PvP is disabled, however there could be a command to enable it and only players with it on can attack players with it on aswell.
-Mobs are ENABLED, however mob damage isnt(Creeper explosions etc.), we don't want creepers blowing up towns now do we?
-Horses are protected so you can actually get around. Staff can get rid of them however.

OTHER(s)/ETC.

-PW's are completely disabled in this world, cant be placed nor used.
-/sethome is allowed but can only be placed once forever. So make sure its in a good spot.
-When you warp into this world you warp to the last spot you were at.
-Horses are the obvious way to get around. Also boats...But who need boats?
-It could be so that like "whitelisted" players can get on, so you must be trusted (Just cant join and come into this world, well really just not new, like realllllllly new) and must be added by a staff member.

That was a fun chat iwu, I know other people have talked about doing a survival world with claims somehow before.

Other things we talked about were:
-having set plots around the spawn, say for 1000 blocks, then having unclaimed land (like pve) around that. would still be possible to claim in the unclaimed land as well, the plots are just not pre-made.
-no /tpa, only using beds for home, and /spawn, or, if a town grows enough, they get a /warp
-server resources... this world would probably have to replace pve/nether for the server to handle it..., as the mob worlds need more power. this raises the question of whether a world like this would get a reset with each version of minecraft, as we have done with the current pve.
I'm curious to hear what others have to say about this.
 
Well I feel towns could be used as a way to quickly get away around the world and trade purposes
 
No beacons or towns, and creeper blasts should be enabled. Other than that it sounds great
Edit: instead of /set home (home might be at a build plot or nawps) it should be /set pve home or something like that.
 
Creeper blasts can be used to grief...I dont want to come back and see half of my stuff missing?
 
So will there be griefing? And if there isn't, is it basically just build world but in survival mode?
 
I really like the idea, I'm just a bit worried about ressources. With the plots, I assume they are restricted to the owner only. Therefore, you must walk/run 900 blocks, just to reach the "Outlands". From there, you will have to run even further to get to somewhere "untouched" by other players, and then all the way back afterwards. It is of course possible, (I might just see it as a problem because I'm too used to the luxery of warps :cool:)

Other than that, I think it's great idea!

No, no mob griefing nor player griefing unless you give perms
Its more to the vanilla side of things, basically build without PW's, TP/TPA's, fly, and with mobs which can kill you
 
maybe have to pay a large sum of caps to make a town so that way there isnt just a large amount of small towns, but a small amount of large towns? it would make it so the towns would be more populated and things would just be less noobish in a way?
 
hmmn sounds good to me but if only trusted players can get into/use this world does that mean I can't?
 
I agree with Hygge, Ive been on many servers where Ive had to parkour around a ravaged crater of mined out resources before getting to an untouched area. Other than that though I think everything is fine. I like the idea.
 
I think the only problem is a player can disable PVP, infiltrate a town, and enable it and surprise attack everyone in it. Otherwise... I love the idea.
 
this is starting to sound a lot like factions. bring back factions pls
 
Oh yeah now that I think about it BRING BACK FACTIONS BEFORE YOU EVEN CONSIDER ANOTHER PVE WORLD YOU BUMS

Exactly, factions first please. If possible just load in the old world from "season 2", the one just before the four factions experiment.
