Minecraft 1.2_02 and old launcher Downloads

The world has been reverted back to Minecraft Beta 1.2 which requires you to use an older client. We'll be running this version until everything is fixed

Here's how:
1: Download Client: http://www.shadownet-online.com/Downloads/minecraft.zip

2: Run minecraft beta as normal to update to the latest client.

3: Uncheck "remember my password", login.

4: Quit.

5: replace beta minecraft.jar in your appdata\.minecraft\bin folder. Copy the paths below if you can't find the folder.
- Windows 7/Shista: C:\%APPDATA%\.minecraft\bin
- Windows XP: C:\%APPDATA%\roaming\.minecraft\bin
- MAC (replace your name with your name): /Users/(yourname)/Library/Application Support/minecraft/bin

6: Run Minecraft again and connect as normal. Leave remember my password unchecked.

You can conirm which version you're running by looking at the top left of the minecraft window.

This version will be used until all plugins have been updated.

what are the bugs you are referring to? i have no problems logging in with 1.3. i just cant connect due to the server being on 1.2_2
 
im having trouble go back to 1.2_2. D:
i give up trying to go back for now. in the mean time ill just play singleplayer or something.
 
Is anyone else having the problem where when you try to login it says "Can't connect to minecraft.net" ?
 
Looks like a lot of others are having the same problem as me and they all @replied to notch via twitter X)

ill just wait it out.
 
The new launcher is not working correctly. If you are looking to play on the addicts server you'll need to roll-back to Minecraft version 1.2b -- the old launcher is working fine.
 
Please be specific Bedrock -- there are 2 stages of login. The first is the authentication to minecraft.net with your username and password. The second is to the minecraft addicts server with your client.

The old launcher is working correctly, but you cannot connect to our server using the 1.3 client. Instead you will need to roll-back this client to 1.2 using the directions above.

The new launcher is not connecting to minecraft.net at all (from what I can see) and therefore you are unable to connect to any server regardless of the client version.
 
Sorry, I meant to say that I cannot log into minecraft.net with the rolledback version but it works with 1.3

Nothing to do with the addict's server.
 
Another thing is if you use the old launcher with the old .jar file (1.2) it will auto update to 1.3 won't it?
 
Nevermind i found another way to get back to 1.2 cause i had trouble following the instructions >_<
but at least i can connect back to the server now :D
 
how long do you think it will take for everything to be "sorted out" because i dont necissarily want to go through all the trouble of reverting my game unless it will take weeks before the addicts server is updated to 1.3
